I flipped on the news early this morning when sleep was eluding me. I saw this commercial and spent the following 2 minutes in tears. Watch it. These people are making a difference and providing others the same opportunity. What a great cause.
It is amazing what the doctors can do and how it changes the lives of these children. I used to work at Holy Cross Hospital (now Salt Lake Regional) and doctors from there would go all over the world performing these surgeries. Some of these children were totally shunned by society until after their surgeries and now they are accepted and have confidence in themselves. What an inspiring video.
ReplyDeleteI still would love to go on a trip with them (I am a nurse). I have been to Africa twice with another group and it was an amazing experience.
