Tuesday

Hey, you inspire.

It's Tuesday! For those of you that may be just joining us, Tuesdays are when I feature an inspirational person. It started earlier this year when I chose to feature someone that inspires me. From there, that person chose the next person, and so on and so forth until now.

It's been a couple of weeks, but I haven't forgotten. I love this series and the glimpse it gives me into so many people's lives. With each new feature I find some way I identify with that person. Honestly, hat's what drives this project. We all have a story. We all haves something in common with one another. Just take a minute to ask. It's there.

This week I'm spotlighting Tessa Wolfe's pick, the lovely miss Britt Chudleigh, owner of Chudleigh Weddings. Here's what she has to say:

Give us the basics, where were you born, and where have you lived?

I spent my childhood in beautiful Park City which was an amazing place to grow up.  I ventured all the way to Salt Lake City to study Drawing & Painting at the University of Utah after graduating from PCHS.  I married my husband while living in Salt Lake and we have ping ponged back and forth between Salt Lake & Park City for the past 15 years.  I currently live in Sugarhouse with my husband, two children and dog.

If you had to summarize your childhood in 3 words, what would they be?

Relaxed, Warm & full of Laughter

When you were young, what did you want to be when you grew up?

Oh, this is still a running joke on me......an Aquaologist.  Yes, I've coined the term.  I was drawn to the water from a very young age and still am.

Now that you're "grown up," what's your dream job? (you cannot answer "mother" - even if you want to)

Anything that gives me freedom to be expressive artistically, allows me to interact with cool people regularly, has an atypical & flexible schedule and trots me around the world

List 5 things you're passionate about:

Relationships, art in any medium, small moments that feel big, adventures & self expression.

How are you different now than you were 5 years ago?

Is it a cliche to just say older and wiser?  I feel like I just keep getting to know myself better with each passing year and that of course produces constant change.  I feel like a much deeper, honest and well rounded person than I was 5 years ago.....more comfortable in my skin with a greater ability to identify what my priorities and passions are in life.

What piece of advice would you give a 21 year old version of yourself?

Oh man, I have way too many coulda woulda shouldas.  Generally speaking I guess I would tell her to be more aggressive in following dreams & ambitions.  To not take youth for granted, play more, experiment and demand the very best out of life.  It's too short to settle or be apathetic about anything.

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would you change?

Only one?  Well that's just not fair.  ONE of the things I'm working on is to do what I say and say what I mean.

If you could have one super-power, what would you choose?

Oh, definitely telepathy or clairvoyance.

Share with us a secret or lesser-known talent or skill you have.

I can pick out faces like nobody's business.  Seriously suck with names but NEVER, I mean never forget a face.  I'm especially good at recognizing people in movies and figuring out what else they've been in.  Yeah, that's right.  Super useful.

I don't know about you, but I want to be Britt. Just a little.
